A medium
sized energy research and analysis firm, ESAI, is seeking
dedicated, self-motivated individuals for energy market analyst
positions. These positions offer exceptional opportunity to
learn about the largest industry in the world and apply all
of the multidisciplinary skills acquired in the study of political
science, economics or international relations. While much
of the focus of this position is on statistical and economic
analysis, ESAI is looking for someone who can integrate economic
developments with political developments in determining the
outlook for a very dynamic market and industry. There is significant
opportunity for travel after the first year.
The position
will focus primarily on the petroleum markets. As such, it
involves a wide range of tasks, with the most important as
follows:
Carefully
maintaining and improving a large, complex database
Taking
responsibility for carrying out analysis and research related
to energy markets
Formulating
and expressing views developed through research on the future
direction of markets in the short, medium, and long term.
Dealing
with client requests for research and information.
The

Applicant
Qualifications:
The applicant
must have an M.A. in international relations, economics or
political science or at least 5 years work experience in the
energy sector. S/he must have strong quantitative analytical
skills as well as a proven facility in written and verbal
expression. Knowledge of foreign languages is recommended.
Salary is negotiable. The position will be located in the
greater Boston area.
